Available on Pro and Agency. Ad platforms bid better when they know which clicks became real leads. SourceXray tells them, without any API access on your side.

  1. Check auto-tagging is on in Google Ads (Admin, Account settings, Auto-tagging), so ad clicks carry a Google click ID.
  2. Go to Goals, Conversions, Summary, click Create conversion action, choose Import, then Other data sources or CRMs, Track conversions from clicks. Name it, for example SourceXray lead, with the category Submit lead form.
  3. In SourceXray open Integrations, Google Ads conversions, type that exact name and save. You get a private feed address.
  4. In Google Ads go to Goals, Conversions, Uploads, open Schedules, click the plus, choose HTTPS as the source, paste the feed address and set it to run daily.

Each lead from a Google Ads click then counts against the campaign, ad group, keyword and ad that got the click, usually within a day of Google fetching the feed. Google reports conversions on the date of the click; use the Conv. (by conv. time) column to see them by lead date.

  • Google matches leads that came from a Google Ads click in the last 90 days.
  • A new click needs about 6 hours before Google accepts it, and repeats are ignored, so nothing is counted twice.
  • Turn on Only leads I mark as Qualified or Won once you review leads, so Google bids for leads that turn into work.
  • If you advertise to people in the EEA or UK, follow Google's consent rules for imported conversions.

Meta Conversions API

  1. In Meta Events Manager, select your pixel (dataset) and copy its ID.
  2. Open its Settings tab, find Conversions API and click Generate access token (under Set up direct integration). You need admin access to the business that owns the pixel.
  3. Paste both into SourceXray. To check it works, copy a code from the Test events tab, paste it in and click Send test. Remove the test code once you have seen it arrive.

Events Manager then shows Lead events received through the Conversions API, with a match quality score. Ad sets optimised for leads use them, and they count in the Results column in Ads Manager.

  • Email and phone are hashed (SHA-256) before they leave SourceXray.
  • Leads from Meta ads carry the click ID, so Meta can match them exactly.
  • If your site also fires a pixel Lead event, both are counted unless they share an event ID, so pick one or remove the pixel event.
